I started building Fairfax Campus' Art + Design program in 2007. Principal, Rufus Black, has always been an advocate for the arts and offered me the prospect of building a program. Soon after, Instructional Coordinator Dave Oland (with the help of Susan Engelmann and Pat Ellis) had obtained five brand new iMacs, as well as a four-color printer, for the Art + Design department. The artistic qualities that I've found is further proof that the arts are alive and well in Kansas City, Kansas.
